No, Somersaults do not contain any nuts. Additionally, the Somersaults bakery does not bake any products that contain nuts, so Somersaults are free of nut allergens! Sunflower seeds and sesame seeds are not nuts.
What are the health benefits of sunflower seeds?
Sunflower seeds have a high oil content and are one of the main sources of polyunsaturated oil, one of the “healthy fats”. They are an excellent source of Vitamin E and Thiamin (B1) as well as magnesium. The Vitamin E and Omega-6 oils found in sunflower seeds help support cardiovascular health. Just a 1/4 cup (36g) of sunflower seeds contains 59.9% of the daily value of Vitamin E. One serving of Somersaults has 9g of sunflower seeds, 15% of your daily Vitamin E!

Where does the fat come in Somersaults?
The fat in Somersaults comes from the natural fat found in sunflower and sesame seeds and just a touch from our sunflower oil. Both of these are monounsaturated fats and our seeds also have polyunsaturated fats.
Do Somersaults contain bioengineered (GMO) ingredients?
No, Somersaults contain no GMO ingredients.
What is expeller pressed high oleic sunflower oil?
High oleic sunflower oil is one of the most natural and healthy oils that can be used in the baking process. It has the highest monounsaturated oleic acid content (80%) of any commercially available cooking/salad oil, including olive oil!
What is chicory root fiber?
Just like the fiber found in leeks, artichokes, and asparagus, chicory root provides an excellent source of fiber. Although we don't normally eat this hearty root, it is an excellent source of inulin, which provides a source of fiber to add to foods.
